Where better to collect a breath of fresh air than on one of the several trails around historic Leesburg, VA? With so many hiking trails winding their way through beautiful Loudoun County, these five paths are a great place to start your Summer adventures. 1. Ball's Bluff Regional Park Loop The basic loop trail of Ball's Bluff Battlefield Regional Park is 2.1 miles long, but with seven other trails interconnecting their way through the park, it is easy to extend or shorten the hike to meet your hiking capabilities. The hike itself is a well-trafficked trail popular among families and dog walkers, featuring a beautiful historical walk through the Civil War battlefield on the shores of the Potomac River. Informational signs can be found along the trail to guide hikers through the history of the battle. 2. Red Rock Wilderness Regional Park Trail A little further south along the Potomac River is the Red Rock Wilderness Regional Park Trail.
